Love Hurts but It Reminds Me I'm Alive

“She made broken look lovely and strong look easy. She walked side-by-side with the Universe daily and Love laid on her shoulders, like a pair of wings.”

You cannot quit me so quickly.
Theres no hope in you for me.
No corner you could squeeze me.
But I have all the time for you Love….

Will I hold you again?....

We’re strange allies
With Warring hearts
What a wild-eyed beast you be
The space between the wicked lies we tell
In hopes of staying safe from the pain

But, will I hold you again?....

I begin not to love you
Turn around, see me running.
Tell myself you never loved me

Time casts a spell on you, but you will not forget me
I know I could have loved you, but you would not let me
You’ll never get away from the sound of woman that loves you

A Tribute to Robin Williams

The death of this utterly fantastic comedian, actor, role model, and person is one which probably made us all stop, and take a moment to remember every time his words brought laughter into our lives, and out our mouths. A person which seemed happier than most, hid pain and suffering from us all. It really is heartbreaking that he thought nothing was worth pushing on for, or that he had enough of this life.

As Plato stated; "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." It's never possible to reveal just how hard some are battling inside themselves.
In memory of Robin Williams, I ask you to smile at every stranger you encounter for the next week or so. Who knows, your random display of kindness could turn someone who believes all hope is gone, around, and save them from themselves. You just never know how much a smile can do for someone......

A Little Krishnamurti for the Soul

"To have compassion means to have passion for all things, not just between two people, but for all human beings, for all things of the earth, the animals, the trees, everything the earth contains. When we have such compassion we will not despoil the earth as we are doing now, and we will have no wars."
-Krishnamurti

My Favorite Quotes

"The wisdom of the wise, and the experience of ages, may be preserved by quotation."
- James A. Baldwin

“I’m in love with you, and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.”

“Analytical Chemistry is a scientific discipline that develops and applies methods, instruments and strategies to obtain information on the composition and nature of matter in space and time”-WP on AC of the EFCS

“The great charm of all power is modesty” - Louisa May Alcott

“Atheism..., that bugbear of women and fools, is the very top and perfection of free-thinking. It is the grand arcanum to which a true genius naturally riseth, by a certain climax or gradation of thought, and without which he can never possess his soul in absolute liberty and repose.” – George Berkeley

“If you greatly deserve something, have the guts to stake everything on obtaining it.” -Brendan Francis

“Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.” -Albert Einstein

“Do not let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might as well put that passing time to the best possible use.” -Earl Nightingale

“The truest wisdom is a resolute determination.”
-Napoleon Bonaparte

"When death comes like an iceberg between the shoulder blades, I want to step through the door full of curiosity, wondering; what is it going to be like, that cottage of darkness? And therefore I look upon everything as a brotherhood and a sisterhood, and I look upon time as no more than an idea, and I consider eternity as another possibility, and I think of each life as a flower, as common as a field daisy, and as singular, and each name a comfortable music in the mouth tending as all music does, toward silence, and each body a lion of courage, and something precious to the earth. When it’s over, I want to say: all my life I was a bride married to amazement. I was a bridegroom, taking the world into my arms. When it’s over, I don’t want to wonder if I have made of my life something particular, and real. I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened or full of argument. I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world."
~ Mary Oliver ~ (From New and Selected Peoms. 1992)

"The realm of consciousness is much vaster than thought can grasp. When you no longer believe everything you think, you step out of thought and see clearly that the thinker is not who you are."- Echkart Tolle

"Out of this war, a new world must be born that would justify the sacrifices offered by humanity. This..... must be a world in which there is no exploitation of the weak by the strong, of the good by the evil, where there will be no humiliation of the poor by the violence of the rich, where product and intellect, science and art, will serve society for the betterment and beautification of life, and not the individuals achieving wealth.  A new world shall not be a world of the downtrodden and humiliated, but of free men and nations, equal in dignity and respect for man. My Heart on a Sleeve

The toll of this desolation, which has lingered for much longer than imagined possible, is officially taking a heavy toll on my soul. As alive as I might feel at times, I feel the same level of death from time-to-time, as well.

My foundations were made of clay. Oblivious to their crumbling nature, I kept on a destructive path; a desolate path. Not completely lost, yet not completely found, an auto-pilot sort of state lingers.
I feel lost, and weak. Why do I hinder myself? I know better. I need to change or clock out.

There has not been any true clarity for far too long, thus I am lost quite far from the findings I need.

My passions are so vast in range, that I never focus on just one and never accomplish any tasks in totality, dealing with any of those areas.

So many dreams have I dreamed, so many words I have wrote, yet none have become reality.

Lack of necessary guidance and knowledge did not prove to be a true hindrance, until the volume and depth of its power and was realized to be out of my control. So much time wasted, gone forever and never to return, starts to become a recognized facet which offiicial reveals the departing of youth, and the official arrival of aging.

Being a child is no more; youth ghastly coming to an end and choices that require much wisdom, paired with a mature intuition, are arriving at a record pace.

The sheer pace that they can at times get up to, is what can truly make or break a person. They are not meant to do any other actions beyond those two. There is no middle relevance available.

Life stops for no set back, heartache, lack of strength, or increased confusion. The clock keeps ticking away with no decrease of speed ever to come, regardless of how much it may be needed.

Modern times are so ridden with a plethora of petty aspects, none which have any deep meaning or level of wisdom. In fact, their existence is linked to vast amounts of blindness, which only the few whom are able to see the bigger picture, notice.

Searching for a source of higher wisdom...

Times is passing so fast
So much is changing
I must relax and look inside
The answers I search for are in me
I just haven’t looked yet.
I’m almost scared to
But such is the next step

The only route holding validity

Our lives, Our fate, Who is responsible....

Being an adult is tough. There is a reason Andy Warhol once said, "I have such a hard time wrapping my mind around the concept of hard work because, being alive is such hard work and not something that you always want to do.". I couldn't agree with that quote more. Finding the hope and drive to keep going despite the challenges that we are faced with, isn't always easy. Life gets straight up unbearable at times. The world is not a pretty place right now. With so much chaos, hope can be very dim if you let it be.

However, if I've learned nothing else useful, I've learned that life is what we make it. As much as we care about our relationships and having who matters in our life, you only get what you allow yourself to go after. The key might be to understand that who matters is always in your heart, but if you want to go after the world and your dreams, you will give up the privilege of physically being close to who you wish to be, when you wish to be. But we must be selfish with our lives, because no one else can live them for us.

We all need to try and go after our true dreams in life. If one is unhappy, the only person that can change that is that person. Happiness through others isn't true happiness. If we aren't happy with who we are naturally, above all else, then we'll never be happy. We end up where we do because of our and ours alone, choices. That responsibility is solely ours to bear, no one else's.

To end this small rant I'll quote a great philosopher's words: "Start loving yourself! God gave you the gift of life. Fall in love with it. Go crazy for it. Value it, feel it, have it, understand! There is no God, no divinity, no religion, nothing if you cannot fall in love with yourself." Go fall in love with yourself if you have not already done that vital action. It's the best kind of love there is.

Peace and One Love.

Self-Realization

I'm trying to get familiar with who I am, everything about myself, and let me tell you folks, this is no easy task. Haha no sirree, getting to know myself may be one of the most intricate tasks I've taken on thus far. Some of you may think, well how do you not already know everything about you, because after-all that is who you live with everyday? The surprising answer to that question happens to be that is quite easy to not ever truly gain understanding about the person that everyday, stairs back in the mirror. In my opinion, most of us may not have the slightest clue.

This blog is based on my confession of that. I'm 25 years young, the experiences and journeys I have been through are countless; every one of them being part of who I am today, experienced two amazing long-term loves along with a good amount of short ones (all enjoyed), traveled and met  too many amazing people that I may never remember or see again, lost three of my grandparents, completed a Culinary Arts degree, had 4 cars, moved from 2 towns now, ect... and I STILL sat down with a piece of paper and pen not too long ago and tried to imagine all of life's usual factors being completely erased and seeing what I could imagine myself doing. You know what I came up that was a sure and solid answer? Nothing, not one answer could I put down that was sure as concrete (done by professionals or craftsman).

Self-realization is a intricate process because it requires us to take into account our strengths, weaknesses, passions, and piece them together so we may form a picture in our heads about the person we have become thus far, and decide if we are satisfied or if there changes needed to better shape who we wish to be. No matter what, self-love must be present and non-changing no matter the mistakes we make. Validating ourselves through others will only leave us empty and dissatisfied because we cannot be everything that everyone wants us to be.

Appreciation of your own unique life breeds contentment and fulfillment with what you already have. Never want for other's processions, experience, or status because doing so is discrediting the life you have and means that gratefulness is lacking. If we compare our lives to the lives of others then we are missing out on truly being involved with ourselves. If one cannot be happy with what they have already been given, then what makes them believe that more will create happiness?

We must be our own best friend, our own personal cheerleader. So many times we focus on the negative instead of the positive. Focus on the good aspects of who you are. Love yourself completely and truthfully, so you may grow into the proper adult that you are capable of becoming. Be glad you are who you are.

I'm not sure what the future will bring but I will say that I'm very excited to see it all unfold. I'm motivated to, for the first time, really try and understand myself so I may create a future that allows me to utilize my passions and create the change I wish to see in the world. Stay tuned to watch my journey unfold.

I'll end with this quote, which is very dear to me:
"I fervently believe that no matter what self-seeking we all must do, we should do it in a way that inflicts the least pain on others. Random acts of kindness are essential along our paths; respect and consideration for everyone is important regardless of the paths they've taken or fate in life they've been handed; above all, forgiveness and redemption are key values never to be forgotten." Questions..

I was going through my journal recently and I came across a writing of mine that I completely had forgotten about. I was very pleased to discover something I created, something that shows the beginning of my evolution to adulthood. I think deeply about philosophical issues and humanity's past, present, and future. Engaging in conversations with others about those topics, brings me limitless joy.

May we never be too busy to ponder in-depth, the questions that have been alive throughout the world for countless years. Thinking is always the first step to finding solutions. Cheers to that!

Countless chapters
No two the same length
Stack throughout time
Writing the legacies
Humans create with their lives

History never ceases moving forward
Each second’s tick symbolizes
A change in the book that never ends
But lingers in eternity
Having a presence that is known
But not given factual meaning

Information is born endlessly
But also dies endlessly
Leaving an immeasurable trail of holes
That will never be filled completely with future material
Questions thus, always being a permanent reality
Time pushing forward at a constant rate
Causes an infinite problem of never having
An equal ratio of answers to questions

What Does Being Human Really Mean?

Mind Over Matter
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4YYEObxhAE

Who are we? What place do we have in this Universe? Those are the age old questions of humanity. Some of the most brilliant minds in human history have researched the subject. The video above, gives a spiritual but also equally, scientific explanation as to what humans are in respect to this planet and existence. Our human mind cannot just process this in thought but must also truly feel and experience its explanation, in order to grasp it in totality.

Meditation along with connecting with nature are sure ways to experience the raw human form and understand its intricate physical make-up.
